Getting closer with the new album

We finished polishing all but 2 songs for the bass last night. Should finish them up on Monday. Hopefully the holidays won’t ruin the chance to get the guitar and piano tracks polished before the end of the week.

Take Your SUV and Shove It!

I am sick and tired of you morons who let the TV talk you into buying an SUV! How many times do you have to almost wreck before you realize you can’t see out of those things?

And, if you’re the guy that tried to muscle your way into my lane when you pulled out of the Varsity on North Ave, I hope you enjoy the new dent I put in your door with my steel-toe boot. Feel lucky the dent wasn’t put in your head!

Whoohooo! All the songs for the new album are recorded!

We just finished up a great session and I am happy as hell to announce that all ten songs have been recorded and five of them have been polished. The five are up on the Reverb Nation site, have a listen and leave a comment!

We’ll be polishing the final five over the next week or so, starting with the drums this Sunday. Then we’ll have a mix down day, a mastering day, and the new album will be ready!

We’re calling it “shhh, Don’t Tell Them It’s Jazz”. We’ll be playing in the metro Atlanta area soon to support the new CD, so come see us live!

Cold Riding in the Mountains Lately

IMG_2114

It’s been a little chilly on the bike lately. Here’s some pics from Thanksgiving Day.

These were taken on the Richard P Russell Scenic Highway in north Georgia.

It was actually about 55F that day, but that particular cliff never sees sunlight, hence the ice.

Studio Update

We got close on "Happy and Blue", but we didn't get a keeper tonight. This one hadn't been fleshed out until tonight anyway, so, the fact that it is now shows progress.

We'll give it another shot next Tuesday. Stay tuned.

Man It's Cold in the Morning

It's below 33 degrees this morning, 2cnd day in a row. I'm headed out on my motorcycle. I got layers of layers on and a good jacket and good gloves. I think I'll be ok.

Here's a video from August, when the riding was nice:

A Plan to Bailout the Auto Industry

A Plan to Bailout the Auto Industry

How about this for a plan to bail out the auto industry and reduce our foreign oil dependance:

Instead of giving the loan or bailout directly to the auto makers, let's give it to the consumer.

If you have a vehicle that gets less than 20mpg, the Federal Government will buy it from you AT BLUE BOOK VALUE with a "coupon" for the amount that is only good for purchasing a new automobile that gets at least 30mpg.

These low mileage vehicles can then be sold, as they are now, at a profit to Brazil, which, thanks to their own oil policy, can afford low mileage vehicles.

It's a win win win for everyone.

What do you think?

I passed a church while riding my motorcycle the other day.

The name on the sign said "Journey Baptist Church".

It made me wonder if they sang "Don't Stop Believing" as a hymn.

Yeah, I'm a child of the 80s
